Here at Plymouth Rug Cleaning we sell to our customers something called Rug Pad.
Rug Pad is very beneficial for two reasons,
First it adds some cushioning to your rug protecting it from heavy wear and tear from foot traffic. Just like your wall to wall carpets have underlay, to add some cushioning for the carpet. Rug Pad is the same for your rug.
Secondly, if you have problems with your rug moving on your carpet or sliding on your wooden or stone flooring, then rug pad will stop this. Rug Pad has a slight adhesive texture to it and keeps it still on the floor.
Rug Pad does not damage the under side of the rug nor will it damage your stone, wooden or carpeted floor.
If you want to help prolong the life of your rug it is highly advised that you provide your rug with rug pad. Rug pad and the application of our rug fibre protector will help prolong the life and beauty of your rug.
