Why free charity cleaning?
At Plymouth Rug Cleaning it’s not all about making money cleaning carpets and rugs. Captain Rug Wash likes to help out local charities too. Captain Rug Wash started offering local charities small and large a day of free cleaning. This includes carpet, upholstery or hard floor cleaning. Charities can sometimes struggle with budgets and finding money for such things as cleaning. As well as businesses, charities need to keep their carpets in good clean condition. In the long run keeping flooring and upholstery clean will prolong the lifetime of the carpets. And if there is little funds in the pot, cleaning will become one of the first things that is cut back.
Who are Dame Hannah Rogers
Here is what Dame Hannah Rogers School is all about. (information taken from their website www.discoverhannahs.org )
Hannahs has been enriching the lives of children and young people for more than 200 years. One of the UK’s oldest charities, Hannahs is dedicated to empowering children, young people and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities, providing them with life-changing opportunities and advocating their needs. We are committed to challenging societal beliefs and cultural acceptances surrounding disabled people with the aim of making disability incidental.
Our mission is simple: to empower, advocate and enrich the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
Working across two sites in Devon – at Ivybridge, about 11 miles from Plymouth and at Seale-Hayne on the outskirts of Newton Abbot – Hannahs provides learning, care, support and real choice to children and adults with a range of disabilities. A dedicated and highly trained team of staff help our students and visitors, at both sites, grow and learn with confidence and freedom. At Hannahs we provide the best education, care and opportunities on offer, in a homely and caring environment
– To provide education, training, advocacy, work opportunities, care and other support services for children, young people and adults in need, their families, carers and associated professionals.
– To advance the education of the public in relation to the education, training and care of persons with disabilities and other needs.
– To promote research in these areas through publishing useful results and providing training to carers and associated professionals.
