Who is Captain Rug Wash?
Captain Rug Wash is a Master Rug Cleaner and a Woolsafe Approved Fibre Care Specialist, cleaning carpets, rugs and upholstery at Plymouth Rug Cleaning. Plymouth Rug Cleaning is part of a Plymouth Based cleaning company called Executive Cleaning Services SW Ltd. They are based in Plymouth and offer carpet, upholstery, hard floor and rug cleaning services throughout Devon and Cornwall for both the domestic and commercial sectors. Established in 1988 it is a family owned and run company.
Why free charity cleaning?
At Plymouth Rug Cleaning it’s not all about making money cleaning carpets and rugs. Captain Rug Wash likes to help out local charities too. Captain Rug Wash started offering local charities small and large a day of free cleaning. This includes carpet, upholstery or hard floor cleaning. Charities can sometimes struggle with budgets and finding money for such things as cleaning. As well as businesses, charities need to keep their carpets in good clean condition. In the long run keeping flooring and upholstery clean will prolong the lifetime of the carpets. And if there is little funds in the pot, cleaning will become one of the first things that is cut back.
What is CHICKS?

CHICKS is a national children’s charity providing free respite breaks to disadvantaged children from all over the UK.
We believe every child has the right to make positive childhood memories. A CHICKS break inspires new confidence and gives children the chance to have fun, enjoy new experiences and relax. More than anything, it gives them the chance to just be children.
CHICKS began in 1992, and has since provided over 13,000 children with a much needed break.
In 2016, we’re hoping to give another 1,200 children a respite break.
The children
The children we help come from a variety of backgrounds. They might be living in poverty, be young carers, be victims of bullying or abuse, or have been bereaved. The one thing they all have in common is that – without CHICKS – they would not have any chance of a break.
