We carried out some upholstery cleaning for The Penguin Lounge in Plymouth.

We carried out some upholstery cleaning in Plymouth where we deep cleaned a sofa, using a multi step cleaning process. Most of the chairs had beer and food staining on which needed a longer dwell time of the cleaning solutions. Giving the cleaning solutions a longer dwell time means it can have time to break down the toughest of staining. I am happy to say that all stains came out of the restaurant chairs and bar stools.

Here is the steps we too in cleaning the restaurant chairs and bar stools.

Step by step guide on upholstery cleaning,

  1. step one is always to pre inspect the fabric for, stains, odours, rips and wholes. To make sure if the fabric can be wet cleaned and to identify as many stains as possible. This is so the correct cleaning solutions can be used.
  2. We then lay protective coverings on the floor to protect it and this is followed by the upholstery having a deep pile vacuum, this releases as much of the dry soil as possible.
  3. The stains, if there are any, are then pre treated to help loosen them.
  4. The fabric is then sprayed with a pre-spray and this pre-spray is agitated deep into the pile. Our pre-spray helps to break down soils and stains and also helps to start breaking the odour down.
  5. We then give the fabric a full hot water rinse with another cleaning solution. The cleaning solutions, dirt, remaining dry soil, odour and stains are then fully rinsed out and collected in our machine.
  6. Once the fabric is cleaned a Dripod is then placed on top of the cushions to help speed drying times up. The pile is then groomed, just like you would comb your hair after cleaning.
